Meet Meital, Founder of Queen of the Pets
Hello! My name is Meital Fligelman, founder and owner of Queen of the Pets.
Animals have been the greatest passion of my life for as long as I can remember. I was born in 1978, am happily married, and the proud mother of three wonderful children. Growing up, our home was always filled with dogs and cats, and from a very young age I knew my future would be dedicated to caring for animals.
At just 12 years old, I began volunteering twice a week with the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Working with abandoned and rescued animals opened my heart even more and inspired me to dedicate my life to helping dogs and cats in need. My dream has always been to create a safe place where every animal can feel loved, protected, and cared for until they find their forever home.
When I was 20 years old, I rescued my very first dog, a beautiful Husky who had been neglected and abandoned. He was covered in ticks, extremely underweight, and so weak that you could see every bone in his body. It took me three days just to remove all the ticks, and nearly a full year of proper nutrition, veterinary care, patience, and unconditional love before he became healthy again. Watching his incredible transformation confirmed that helping animals was not just my passion, it was my life’s purpose.
Since then, I have rescued and helped many dogs whenever possible. Even today, people often contact me during emergencies when they cannot afford to save their beloved pet. Whenever I can, I step in to help. I also work closely with a trusted veterinarian who provides affordable treatment and surgeries, giving many dogs a second chance at life.
Today, Queen of the Pets is much more than a dog boarding business. It is a place built with love, compassion, and trust. Whether your dog is staying for dog boarding, dog daycare, professional grooming, or training, every pet is welcomed as a member of my own family.
